Trump and the GOP are trying to prevent mail-in ballots to limit voting.
US Attorney General Ellen Weintraub just issued an uprecedented statement, clarifying that vote-by-mail is safe. The idea that it voting by mail not is a transparent lie, and if you are on a social media website, make sure that you look at the profile of who is claiming otherwise — often it’s a troll, with hardly any followers.
So here’s what you can do:
Go to this page and find the contact information for your state’s attorney general.
We suggest that you CALL, EMAIL AND SEND A PAPER LETTER TO YOUR ATTORNEY GENERAL.
The letter can say something like this:
Dear State Attorney General ___,
My name is ___ and I live at ___.
I want you to know that I want and expect you to provide vote by mail for our state.
Our FEC Commissioner clarified this issue and I want you to know that it’s a priority for me that people be able to vote by mail in our state. Voting by mail is safe and I expect you to keep it available and secure.
Sincerely,
Your Name
These are elected positions. They care what their constituents say, and you can BET that the anti-vote people are giving feedback.
